My name is Anna Gordon. I am a Scottish artist living in the Highlands.

Most - if not all - of my work is inspired by where I live. I am lucky enough to stay out in the country and I love it. This really helps when painting. I try to capture as much light and movement in my paintings as I can.

One of my favourite places to visit is the Isle of Skye. A lot of my landscapes are taken from the dramatic and ever-changing weather there. It's like stepping into a Tolkien novel, minus the orks, hobbits and dragons, unless you count the Loch Ness monster.

I love exploring Scotland in general but especially where there are castles to visit.
